Caper Marinated Steak

I live with a bunch of carnivores and boy do they enjoy a juicy flavorful steak.  I came up with this quick marinade that your family will just LOVE!!! 

3-4 Good Size Steaks
1 Shallot
2 Teaspoons Kosher Salt
1 Teaspoon Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cumin
1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
1/4 Cup Red Wine Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Capers
2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard

Place all the marinade ingredients in a spice blender or regular blender. Combine well. 

Put the marinade in a large casserole ... 

Place the steaks and turn to make sure both sides are covered. 

Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes.  Overnight is better. 

I cooked mine on an indoor stovetop grill.  You can cook these outside if you would prefer. 
I cook my steaks Medium rare... that is 3-4 minutes on each side. Leave the steaks alone... do not mess with them!!! Turn only once. 

Let the steaks rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.
