Fergie's Braised Cabbage


This was amazing!!! Will be making this on a regular basis!! 
This recipe does have butter but it can be omitted! 

1-2 Cabbage Heads cut into fourths 
1 Onion, Sliced
Garlic Salt
Fresh Ground Pepper
Red Pepper Flakes
Olive Oil
Butter (Optional) 
1 Cup Chicken Broth or Stock



Make sure your cabbage is fresh ... 



Slice into 4th's and cut the hard bottom stem piece... 


Slice the onions ... 


Spred the onions over the top... 


Place a small piece of cold butter over the top and sprinkle with garlic salt, pepper and red pepper flakes... 




Pour the chicken broth over and around the cabbage... 


Cover tightly with heavy foil... Bake at 375 for 40 minutes and raise the temp 
to 400 and bake an additional 20 minutes... 


This will be a regular side dish at the Ferguson's!!! 


Fork tender!
