My 8 year old son loves to help in the kitchen... and the truth is he is actually pretty good!!! This was his contribution to Super Bowl Sunday!!!
4 Ripe Organic Avocados
1/2 Red Onion, Chopped Small
1/4 Can Fire Roasted Tomatoes
1/4 Cup Cilantro
1 Serrano Pepper, Diced Small
1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Teaspoon Sea Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Oregano
A quick and easy way to ripen avocados is to put them in a brown paper bag
with a ripe banana... seal the bag real good ...
Slice the avocados in half and scoop out the flesh...
Slice the onions...
I keep cilantro fresh but snipped the bottoms a bit and keeping in some water...
These are the fire roasted tomatoes Jacob used...
Serrano Pepper...
Chop the tomatoes well...
Start adding everything into a large bowl...
Add the oregano and sea salt...
Add the fresh lemon or lime juice...
Mmmmm....
Using a fork begin to lightly mash...
Chop your cilantro...
Add to the bowl and gently fold in...
Beautiful, Simple, Perfection...
If you are not going to eat it right away... place plastic wrap right on top...
and refrigerate...
